If you have already booked, or you’re interested in booking a tattoo with me, here is some information I send to my clients to make sure they are prepared for their appointment.
Note: I advise against getting tattooed if you are currently taking Accutane, any prescription blood thinners, on a day you are hungover, or on an area of the body that is sunburnt at the time of the appointment.
- Make sure to have a light meal before your appointment so you aren’t getting tattooed on an empty stomach, especially if you are prone to fainting or lightheadedness.
- Feel free to bring some snacks or drinks and water with you to my studio. You may also bring headphones, something to keep you entertained during the session (a book, iPad to watch something or play games on, etc.), or a hoodie/blanket for comfort if needed.
- Please wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area you’re planning to get tattooed, and I recommend wearing dark colors in case of staining from the stencil or ink.
- Unfortunately my studio is unable to accommodate any plus ones unless it is medically necessary. If you need to bring a plus one due to a medical accommodation, please let me know ahead of time.
- Please do not take any ibuprofen (Advil) before your appointment because it is a blood thinner. Tylenol (acetominophen/paracetomol) is okay as it does not thin the blood.
- I advise against using numbing creams before you arrive to my studio because they tend to change the texture of the skin, or worst case, they can cause health issues due to being highly unregulated. I always have Bactine, an over-the-counter lidocaine spray, as temporary pain relief available if you need it.
